In the 50 days leading up to the preseason opener between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, we're counting down the 50 best plays of 2013.
Yesterday at No. 36 was Maurice Jones-Drew and a 28-yard run against the Denver Broncos.
Today is linebacker Paul Posluszny and his forced fumble on Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson and his heads up play to also recover the ball.
The Jaguars were 0-8 and on the road against a Titans team that wasn't great, but had been good enough to compile a 4-4 record coming into the midpoint of the season. To win, the Jaguars needed to force turnovers -- something they hadn't done often coming into the game.
But Posluszny set the tone right out of the gate.
His forced fumble and subsequent recovery helped set the Jaguars up deep in Titans' territory, leading to a quick touchdown by Maurice Jones-Drew, and building a lead that Jacksonville never relinquished.
Should Posluszny's forced fumble and recovery in the same play be on the list? Let us know in the comments below!
