50 best plays of 2013 - No. 30: Cecil's longest catch of the year

New, comments

We're counting down the 50 best plays of 2013. Who made it to No. 30? Cecil Shorts and his 59-yard catch-and-run against the Seattle Seahawks.

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

In the 50 days leading up to the preseason opener between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, we're counting down the 50 best plays of 2013.

Yesterday at No. 31 was Andre Branch -- his athleticism, his sack, and a celebration worthy of a traveling bard.

In at No. 30? Cecil Shorts III and his 59-yard reception against the Seattle Seahawks.

Slipping into the soft spot of the coverage (and, admittedly, taking advantage of some serious miscommunication between Seahawks defenders) Shorts hauls in this 59-yard reception -- the longest of the season for him and the third-longest of any Jaguars receiver in 2013.

Should Shorts' 59-yard catch-and-run against the Seahawks be on the list? Let us know in the comments below!
