The Jacksonville Jaguars have taken some hits at the wide receiver position prior to the start of training camp, but it seems they keep coming in the form of injuries. Rookie wide receiver Allen Robinson was pulled from practice on Thursday morning with hamstring tightness, but it now appears he will be out what the team is called "an extended period of time".
The latest setback involves rookie Allen Robinson and free-agent signee Tandon Doss. Both were injured in Thursday's practice and will miss what the Jaguars describe as "an extended period of time, at least two weeks."
Not only will Robinson be out a while, but veteran free agent signing Tandon Doss will also be out for some time with an ankle sprain. In Thursday's practice in the final drill, Doss went for a pass on the sideline and was rolled up on by linebacker Geno Hayes, who was attempting to make a play on the ball. Doss went down writhing in pain and screaming expletives, because like most of the media right there seeing it, he likely thought his ankle was broken.
The Jaguars will need to tread lightly right now at the receiver position, because they're barebones already.
