Jaguars sign former Texans offensive lineman Antoine Caldwell

With center and right guard being a problem spot for the Jaguars, the team has signed a veteran offensive lineman to shore up depth.

The Jacksonville Jaguars suffered a blow to their offensive line depth today, as center Matt Stankiewitch was waived/injured. Stankiewitch, who went undrafted in 2013, spent time on the New England Patriots roster before being released. He was signed by the Jaguars in December and has been on the roster ever since.

To replace Stankiewitch, Tad Dickman reported that the team signed Antoine Caldwell, who formerly played guard and center for the Houston Texans.

Caldwell was on the Buffalo Bills training camp roster in 2013, but was released before the regular season started.

He was invited to Jaguars rookie mini-camp back in May, but wasn't offered a contract.
