The Jacksonville Jaguars will give No. 3 overall pick Blake Bortles at least a quarter with the first team offense against the Detroit Lions, according to head coach Gus Bradley on Friday.
Gus says Bortles a quarter with 1s at Detroit.

Bortles put in another impressive performance on national television against the Chicago Bears on Thursday evening, going 11-for-17 for 160 yards, following up his impressive performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in his preseason debut.
"Our whole philosophy is to get our rookies in with the 1s and I believe this week with Blake, we have to get that done to see how he handles it," Bradley said, via Ryan O'Halloran. "And I would like to see him get in the game [with the 1s], too."
Bortles performances have all come with the caveat of him playing with the second team offense and going against backups so far, but he should be able to show exactly where he's at with a full quarter against the Lions starting defense next week.
As of now, the plan is still to start Chad Henne in Week 1 of the regular season, but so far Bortles has looked like the better quarterback through two games of the NFL preseason.
