50 best plays of 2013 - No. 6: J.T. Thomas blocks punt, gets safety

New, comments

We're counting down the 50 best plays of 2013. Who made it to No. 6? J.T. Thomas and the Jaguars punt team for blocking a kick and getting a safety in Week 1.

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

In the 50 days leading up to the preseason opener between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, we're counting down the 50 best plays of 2013.

Yesterday at No. 7 was Paul Posluszny's pick-six of Peyton Manning -- in Denver, no less.

In at No. 6 was J.T. Thomas and the Jaguars punt team blocking a kick and getting a safety to start off the Week 1 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Yeah, Dustin Colquitt really had no chance.

We were so happy once. Sigh...

Should the Jaguars blocked punt and resulting safety be higher on the list? Lower? Let us know in the comments below.
