The NFL season is right around the corner and preseason football can be a good scouting ground for picking out potential fantasy football gems. If you're into playing fantasy football in a game-by-game manner, such as what's offered at FanDuel, the Jaguars offensive players look like bargains.

For instance, quarterback Chad Henne is priced at $5,600 for the opening game against the Philadelphia Eagles. For comparison's sake, rookie Teddy Bridgewater is priced at $6,100 and there's no guarantee he's going to start for the Minnesota Vikings. If you want to really lock it in and risk it though, rookie Blake Bortles is priced at $5,400.

On the same token, running back Toby Gerhart is priced at just $6,100 for his services Week 1, which is $3,700 cheaper than the highest priced player in Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles. Now, Charles is an electric playmaker who can take the ball to the endzone on any given play, but Gerhart is going to get the lion's share of carries on Week 1 and should be a good bargain pick if you want to go more expensive somewhere else.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Jaguars are the cheapest team defense at just $4,500. That ranking isn't a shocker because the team had an awful defense last season, but they should be much improved this season.

Editor's Note: SB Nation's partner FanDuel is hosting a $100,000 Fantasy Football Contest for Week 1's NFL games. It's only $10 to join and first prize is $10,000. Starts Sunday, September 7th at 1pm ET. Here's the FanDuel link.
