Ace Sanders reports to Jaguars practice

Jaguars suspended wide receiver Ace Sanders has reported to camp.

Melina Vastola-USA TODAY Sports

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Ace Sanders has reported to Jaguars camp on Sunday morning, per Ryan O'Halloran of The Florida Times-Union. Sanders had been away from training camp for the past five weeks dealing with some off field issues, in preparation for his upcoming four game suspension.

Sanders will do some conditioning on the side before he returns to full practice, but he is eligible to play in the Jaguars final preseason game on Thursday against the Atlanta Falcons. Sanders is likely to only play however if the Jaguars feel that he is in proper football shape and won't be a liability on the field.

The Jaguars drafted Ace Sanders in the fourth-round of the 2013 NFL Draft and he made an impact as a rookie, partly because the Jaguars dealt with so many injuries to the wide receiver position. Sanders is suspended for the first four games of the 2014 regular season for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. For the first four games of the regular season Sanders can be at the team's facility, but cannot practice.
