The Jacksonville Jaguars suffered a number of injuries Friday night against the Detroit Lions, and three players who left the game early won't be playing in the preseason finale.
John Oehser of Jaguars.com reported that defensive tackle Sen'Derrick Marks, guard Zane Beadles, and kicker Josh Scobee didn't practice on Sunday morning and would be sitting out Thursday night's game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Paul Posluszny and Winston Guy, the other two players injured against the Lions, participated in practice and weren't ruled out of the game. But with Week 4 of the preseason of less importance to starters than the previous three weeks, it wouldn't be surprising to see them sit out.
Marks' absence should give backup defensive linemen Ziggy Hood and Abry Jones increased reps on Friday. Beadles has been solid at left guard through three weeks of the preseason, and it'll be interesting to see who the team puts at right guard vs. left guard.
Undrafted rookie Kasey Redfern out of Wofford has been serviceable as a placekicker and a punter, but has lacked the leg strength to challenge for a spot on the final 53-man roster.
The Jaguars coaching staff said they hope for all three to practice next week and be ready for the regular season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles.
