Jaguars 53-man roster prediction

The first Jaguars preseason game is a day away, so it's time to look silly and predict a final roster.

Phil Sears-USA TODAY Sports

We've had now nearly two full weeks of Jacksonville Jaguars training camp, a scrimmage and are about to see the first preseason game. That means it's once again time to make a prediction on the 53-man roster, but instead of it being based on nothing like last time, it's based on seeing two weeks of practice, mostly not in full pads.

This will probably be wildly inaccurate, but here it goes! This is not a depth chart.

Position Players
Quarterback Chad Henne, Blake Bortles
Running Backs Toby Gerhart, Storm Johnson, Jordan Todman, Denard Robinson, Will Ta'ufo'ou
Wide Receivers Cecil Shorts III, Marqise Lee, Allen Robinson, Mike Brown, Allen Hurns
Tight Ends Marcedes Lewis, Clay Harbor, Marcel Jensen
Offensive Line Luke Joeckel, Zane Beadles, Mike Brewster, Brandon Linder, Austin Pasztor, Cam Bradfield, Luke Bowanko, Jacques McClendon
Defensive Line Tyson Alualu, Red Bryant, Roy Miller, Abry Jones, Ziggy Hood, Sen'Derrick Marks
LEOs Chris Clemons, Andre Branch, Ryan Davis, Chris Smith
Linebackers Paul Posluzny, Geno Hayes, Telvin Smith, Nate Stupar, LaRoy Reynolds, Marcus Whitfield
Cornerbacks Alan Ball, Dwayne Gratz, Will Blackmon, Demetrius McCray, Jeremy Harris, Rashaad Reynolds
Safeties Johnathan Cyprien, Josh Evans, Winston Guy, Joe Young, Sherrod Martin
Special Teams Josh Scobee, Bryan Anger, Carson Tinker

Quick notes: I didn't include players like Aaron Colvin, Dekoda Watson and Ace Sanders because they currently do not count against the roster.

Changes from my last prediction: Mike Brown in, Ace Sanders out. Jacques McClendon in, Patrick Lewis, Sam Young and Drew Nowak out. Andre Branch and Ryan Davis in, Jason Babin out. Abry Jones in, De'Andre Coleman out. Nate Stupar in, Allen Bradford out. George Whitfield in, Dekoda Watson out. Jeremy Harris and Joe Young in.
