The Jacksonville Jaguars have been hit hard at the wide receiver position, including an injury to veteran wide receiver Cecil Shorts III, which has kept him out of most of training camp. The team got some good news on Saturday however, following their 16-10 preseason victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Shorts didn't give timetable but ran 100 percent straight line this week and feels he's "ahead of schedule." #Jaguars

Shorts strained a hamstring a few weeks ago and has been sidelined ever since, along with a handful of other Jaguars receivers.
Prior to the Jaguars first preseason game, receivers coach Jerry Sullivan mentioned that Shorts would need a run out in the preseason before the regular season and it looks like that could happen soon. While it may not happen in the Jaguars next preseason matchup, the outlook for him playing in the all important third preseason game seems promising.
