Zane Beadles has sprained thumb, Jaguars say he won't miss time

Jaguars veteran offensive guard Zane Beadles sprained his thumb on Friday, but the team says he will not miss any time.

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley informed the media on Saturday at his day-after press conference that veteran offensive guard Zane Beadles sprained his thumb on Friday evening, but that he won't be missing anytime going forward.

It will be difficult for Beadles to play with a cast on his hand, but it's not something that's uncommon for offensive lineman to play with, especially on the interior.

The Jaguars typically run more of a zone-style blocking scheme, so there is some cutting and such from the guards and center, so as long as Beadles has the ability to move around it shouldn't be a huge effect going forward.

Beadles had a decent first preseason game, meaning I didn't really notice him and typically that's a good thing for an offensive lineman.
