The Jacksonville Jaguars were destroyed by Washington 41-10 on Sunday on the road, but to make matters worse it's possible they've lost tight end Marcedes Lewis and wide receiver Allen Hurns for a few weeks with injuries. Lewis hobbled off the field on Sunday limping and was seen on crutches after the game, with head coach Gus Bradley noting he had a high ankle sprain.
Typically, high ankle sprains are something that linger for a few weeks so it wouldn't be a shock to see Lewis miss a handful of games.
The other big hit the Jaguars took was losing Allen Hurns on the final play of the game. Hurns had a tough day to begin with, dropping a would-be touchdown pass at the very beginning of the game. The rookie receiver beat DeAngelo Hall on a double move and was running wide open down the middle of the field. Chad Henne slightly underthrew the ball, but Hurns tried to run before he caught it and bobbled a should-have-been touchdown reception.
Hurns was also on crutches after the game, but the extent of his injury wasn't revealed.
