Each Tuesday, we'll take a look at the power rankings to see where the Jacksonville Jaguars check in on these all-important objective rankings. Last week, the Jaguars ranked 30th out of 32 teams and with another disappointing showing against Washington, you'd expect the team to fall to the very bottom of the rankings.
Not so, says SB Nation's Danny Kelly!
In his Week 3 NFL power rankings, he believes that the Jaguars are the 31st-best team in the league and marginally better than the Oakland Raiders.
I'm honestly surprised the Raiders weren't ranked ahead of the Jaguars. They had a close loss on the road against the New York Jets in Week 1, but got blown out at home in Week 2 against the Houston Texans.
If Jacksonville can keep things competitive in their Week 3 home opener against the Indianapolis Colts, I'd be surprised if they fall into last place. The Raiders are visiting the New England Patriots this week and I'd suspect Stevan Ridley will have a field day against Oakland's league-worst run defense.
