The Jacksonville Jaguars haven't usually been one that's near the top of the league in jersey sales, even with rookies and top quarterback picks. Blake Bortles however seems to have enough of a following from his days at UCF and enough excitement among Jaguars fans to have pushed himself into the Top 4 in rookie sales, according to Dick's Sporting Goods jersey report.
According to Dick's, since Week 1 Bortles has jumped from being the No. 80 overall selling jersey to No. 44 overall and is now the No. 4 overall selling jersey among rookies, behind Johnny Manziel, Sammy Watkins and Teddy Bridgewater.
I would imagine with Bortles taking over as the Jaguars starting quarterback officially now, it will continue to pick up. Especially if he continues to make plays like he did in the second half against the Indianapolis Colts and like he did in the preseason, throwing the football down the field.
