The Jacksonville Jaguars picked up some key injuries in Sunday's 33-14 loss to the San Diego Chargers. Wide receiver Cecil Shorts III and cornerback Dwayne Gratz both left the game with injuries and could miss some more time this week.
Shorts came up short in a late throw by rookie quarterback Blake Bortles that was picked off in the second half and ended up leaving for the rest of the game.
"I felt a pull," Shorts told Ryan O'Halloran of The Florida Times-Union after the game. "It actually happened on the play before [the interception] when I was getting off the line. I beat [the defender] and was running when he grabbed me and I felt something pull."
It's another frustrating injury for the Jaguars lone veteran receiver who's in a contract year.
On the defensive side of the ball, corner Dwayne Gratz had a scary looking injury where he landed on top of his head while making the tackle. Gratz laid on the ground for a bit and it at first looked like a neck injury, but he was diagnosed for a concussion and ruled out for the rest of the game.
Outside of those two thankfully, there weren't really any other injuries.
