Jaguars cut Winston Guy, per report

The Jaguars have cut another veteran from the roster, per a report.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have released safety Winston Guy, according to a report by Ryan O'Halloran of The Florida Times-Union.

Guy was benched on Sunday in favor of Josh Evans, who had an OK game, but Guy was on the field for one snap and gave up a long touchdown reception to Eddie Royal. Guy took an awful angle on the double move by the Chargers slot receiver and it was an easy touchdown for the San Diego Chargers.

Guy started the season as the Jaguars starting free safety, but after the first few games it was clear he was a big liability on the field not only in coverage, but picking up personal fouls.

According to O'Halloran, the Jaguars have elevated rookie Craig Loston from the practice squad to the active roster. Loston signed with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent this offseason.
