The Jacksonville Jaguars suffered another loss last week at the hands of the San Diego Chargers, but rookie quarterback Blake Bortles is getting some national recognition based off of his performance in the game.
In his starting debut, Bortles was 29-of-37 for 253 yards and a touchdown. He helped the Jaguars put together their best game in terms of third down conversions this season, and his 78.4% completion percentage was the best by a rookie in their starting debut ever. (It was also second to Aaron Rodgers in Week 4.)
