Who was the Jaguars player of the game?

There were some good things in the Jaguars 34-17 loss on Sunday, including rookie Allen Hurns who's our player of the game.

The Jacksonville Jaguars 34-17 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles was one of the most frustrating things fans have had to watch in some time, but even so there were some positives from the game. Namely, rookie wide receiver Allen Hurns.

Hurns was a highlight all of training camp and the preseason, which he ended up carrying into the regular season on Sunday. Hurns' first two NFL catches were long touchdowns early in the game. He finished the day with four receptions with 110 yards on nine targets. He could have had more yards on another pass down the field that was just a bit too long for his reach, but overall he had an excellent game.

There were some other players as well who had nice days like Chris Clemons, Sen'Derrick Marks, Ryan Davis and even Luke Joeckel. Overall the defense as a whole looked great until they just got gassed and injuries to Johnathan Cyprien and Paul Posluszny led to giving up some big plays on mistakes.
