Jaguars vs. Washington odds: Jacksonville 4.5 point road dogs

The Jaguars open as road dogs in a game some think Jacksonville could steal.

Bob Levey

The Jacksonville Jaguars gave up a backdoor cover in their 34-17 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Prior to the sack fumble recovered for a touchdown, while blowing the game the Jaguars were at least on their way to cover the spread, but bookies I'm sure fist pumped when Fletcher Cox ran into the endzone.

Sunday when the team travels to Washington for their second game of the season, the Jaguars have opened up as road dogs  +4.5 and the line has moved as high as +7.

Here's what OddsShark had to say on the game:

Washington has paid off on the NFL odds in just four of their last 16 games as home favorites as they look for their first win of the season on Sunday afternoon at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Washington fell 17-6 to Houston in Week 1, while Jacksonville is coming off a 34-17 loss to Philadelphia in their opener in which they blew an early lead. The OVER has paid out six times in the last eight games in which the Jaguars were listed as underdogs on the road.

For me, I would probably take the Jaguars and the points. I don't think Washington is very good and their offensive line was beat up by the Houston Texans defensive line, mainly J.J. Watt. The Jaguars defense harassed the Eagles offensive line, which is much more talented, with just four rushers. Robert Griffin III was sacked twice and hit seven more times last Sunday.

I think the Jaguars will be able to slow down Washington enough to if not win, keep the game close.
