NFL power rankings Week 2: Jaguars lose, but don't move in poll

Let's check in on the SB Nation power rankings for Week 2 of the NFL season.

Each Tuesday, we'll take a look at the power rankings to see where the Jacksonville Jaguars check in on these all-important objective rankings. Last week, the Jaguars ranked 30th out of 32 teams and with a second-half collapse against the Philadelphia Eagles, I wouldn't expect that to change.

Here's how SB Nation ranked the Jaguars:

30. Jacksonville Jaguars (30)

The Jags looked to be putting together one of the most shocking upsets of the first week of action when they led the Eagles 17-0 going into the half, but defensive breakdowns and ineffectiveness on offense in the third and fourth frames foiled that plot. Still, the Jags are an exciting young team with interesting talent that should be on the rise this year, but it just didn't happen in Week 1.

Last week, the Jaguars were lauded as underrated. This week, it's a way of putting a positive spin on the "they are who we thought they were" line.

As the rankings state, there's going to be problems on both sides of the ball. That's what happens on a young, rebuilding team with its franchise quarterback waiting in the wings.
