Super Bowl picks: Bold predictions for New England Patriots vs. Seattle Seahawks

The Super Bowl is finally here. Will the Seahawks repeat or can the Patriots earn their fourth title since 2001? Here are our Super Bowl predictions.

Super Bowl XLIX is kicking off this Sunday, marking the end of another football season.

*wipes away single tear*

The New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks will do battle in Glendale, Arizona at University of Phoenix Stadium, looking to put another notch in their respective belts. The Seahawks could become one of only ??? teams to win consecutive titles. The Patriots would earn their fourth Super Bowl win since 2001 with a victory, tying Tom Brady with Terry Bradshaw and Joe Montana for the most all-time as a quarterback.

My prediction? Patriots 30, Seahawks 17

Yes, the Seahawks defense is good, but the Patriots offense is better and (more importantly) balanced. Tom Brady will have a big game, and may very well win the game's MVP award, but running back LeGarrette Blount will be the biggest reason why New England dominates and wins by two scores.

I also think Russell Wilson ends the day with more rushing yards than Marshawn Lynch. I think Vince Wilfork will be another player whose performance will help the team win, even if he's not in as much of the spotlight as Touchdown Tom.

Lastly, I think the Gatorade will be blue when dumped on Patriots head coach Bill Belichick. Book it, Vegas.
