The Jacksonville Jaguars have made their first formal request for an offensive coordinator interview, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. They've asked permission to speak with Minnesota Vikings running backs coach Kirby Wilson.

Wilson was hired by the Vikings last season, but he spent the previous seven seasons as the running backs coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Wilson's time with the Steelers makes him an interesting candidate for the position, similar to that of Steelers quarterbacks coach Randy Fichtner.
I'm not sure if the Vikings currently utilize a zone blocking scheme, but Wilson spent time with the Steelers who did. Wilson has also spent time as the running backs coach for the Arizona Cardinals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New England Patriots and Washington. Wilson, to my knowledge, has never been an offensive play caller in any capacity.
Wilson has worked under Norv Turner, Todd Haley, Bruce Arians, Alex Wood, Keith Rowan and Bill Muir.
Wilson interviewed for the vacant Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator position last season.
