Blake Bortles suffers shoulder injury in 38-31 loss to Bucs

The Jaguars franchise quarterback played efficiently on Sunday, but didn't leave the game unscathed.

Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles suffered an injury to his throwing shoulder at some point during the Jaguars loss in Tampa Bay on Sunday afternoon.

The injury has been labeled as a Grade 1 AC joint injury, which is serious enough to slow Bortles down during practice this week but realistically shouldn't hurt his chances of playing against the Houston Texans at home on Oct. 18th.

Head coach Gus Bradley advised fans to not be alarmed if Blake doesn't practice on Wednesday. "Right now, I think he'll be in good shape" Bradley stated, referring to Blake's chances of playing on Sunday.

This injury news follows a career day for Blake Bortles -- one that saw him throw for 4 touchdowns and over 300 yards on his way to a 125.4 passer rating.

The news also follows a discouraging loss, adding injury to insult.

Blake's status will be updated throughout the week. Considering the Jaguars' wacky injury timelines so far this season, this will be a storyline that is heavily followed.
