Blake Bortles could make history vs. Texans

Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles could join a prestigious club on Sunday as only the second player to throw for 4,500 yards and 30 touchdowns and have a losing record.

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles could join New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees as just the second quarterback to throw for 4,500 yards and 30 touchdowns and suffer through a losing record.

Bortles would need 311 yards against the Houston Texans on Sunday to reach this milestone.

And if the Jaguars lose on Sunday (which they likely will) then 5-11 would be the worst record a quarterback with 4,500 yards and 30 touchdowns has ever compiled. In NFL history. The 2012 Saints were 7-9, the 2014 Saints were 7-9, and if the Saints beat the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, they'll be 7-9 too. The worst they can do is 6-10.

If you didn't think the defense was historically bad before, you do now.
