The Jacksonville Jaguars are believed to be one of the teams who will be heavy in free agency this offseason, being as they have over $60 million in salary cap room to play with. The general feeling from those who cover the team is that the team will spend money and now there's a rumor that the team has strong interesting in tight end Julius Thomas.
Indy buzz about Julius Thomas includes #Falcons jumping into the mix as teams who might go after him, #Jaguars have strong interest

Why this rumor makes sense
The Jaguars desperately need proven play makers on the offensive side of the ball. Thomas has only done it for two seasons, but it's hard to argue with 24 touchdown receptions the past two seasons, no matter who his quarterback is.The team also has the most cap room in the NFL and they can pay out the big money that some of the top free agents are looking for.
Why this rumor doesn't make sense
...reasons?
Chances this rumor becomes reality
Pretty good. I don't want to put a percentage on it, but I do genuinely feel the Jaguars are going to be aggressive going after a tight end who can help them in the passing game, since the NFL Draft seems thin in that area. I think they will focus on the offensive side of the ball and Julius Thomas most definitely would fit.
