As we get closer to the start of NFL free agency, it's becoming more and more clear that the Jacksonville Jaguars are going to make some major pushes for some of the big names on the market. Guys like Randall Cobb, Julius Thomas and Ndamukong Suh have all been linked with the Jaguars and they're one of the few teams who can afford to actually sign all three players if they really want to.
Prior to today, it was all just speculation and hope, but Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell all but confirmed the team is going to be big players for some of the bigger names in free agency on Jaguars Thursday on 1010XL.
Asked Caldwell if he's ready to take some big swings next week. He said, "Yeah, if the pitch comes." #Jaguars

Basically Caldwell said they wanted top line talent, "blue chippers". They do have a max value they're willing to go for each player.

Said they have done a good job building depth but need those difference makers to speed up the rebuilding process.

To me, this says the Jaguars will be going hard after the top tier free agents and this is Caldwell kind of giving the fans some of the crumbs to get excited about. I've also heard through some of my sources that the team will be aggressive after some of the top names, but as Caldwell said, they do have a maximum they're willing to shell out for a specific player.
If the Jaguars want to land multiple top guys however, they'll need to move quickly, because there are quite a few teams with large amounts of cap room with the same kind of needs.
