Jaguars expected to sign LB Dan Skuta, per report

The Jaguars continue to add players in NFL free agency.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are expected to sign free agent linebacker Dan Skuta, according to a report by Adam Caplan of EPSN.

Skuta, 28, originally joined the Cincinnati Bengals in 2009 as an undrafted free agent and was essentially a "swiss army knife" for the Bengals. He played strong side linebacker, which is likely what he'll play with the Jaguars (OTTO), as well as ILB, DE, TE and fullback for the Bengals.

On the San Francisco 49ers, Skuta played mostly the SAM linebacker role in the team's 3-4 defensive front and is similar to the role I believe he will play with the Jaguars. In 10 starts with the 49ers last season Skuta had five sacks. He's also an excellent special teams player and once returned a fumble for a touchdown against the Jaguars in London.
