Jacksonville Jaguars 2015 schedule predictions: Picking all the games this year

New, comments

The Jacksonville Jaguars scheduled has been released! Time for some meaningless predictions!

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The 2015 regular season schedule has been released and the first 10 weeks are, in a word, rough.

That's because after a two-game home opening, the Jaguars will go eight weeks with just one game in Jacksonville. (Technically, they have a "home" game in London, but c'mon.)

So, let's get down to business. What are the predictions for overall records and week-to-week results?

Jaguars 2015 schedule prediction

Week 1: Carolina Panthers LOSS ... While we probably won't win this game, when (if?) we lose, it won't be a blowout.

Week 2: Miami Dolphins WIN ... We're not starting off the season 0-2 with two home games. It just won't happen. Gus Bradley gets to lead a team without a losing record for the first time in his coaching career. (Season openers don't count, nerds.)

Week 3: @ New England Patriots LOSS ... I'm an optimistic fan but... nah.

Week 4: @ Indianapolis Colts LOSS ... Will we beat the Colts this year? Maybe, but it won't be on the road.

Week 5: @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers WIN ... Jameis Winston is the best quarterback in the NFL Draft, but he's still a rookie who will throw a lot of picks this year.

Week 6: Houston Texans WIN ... Honestly, it's a coin flip, but the home team gets the win.

Week 7: Buffalo Bills LOSS ... Yes, it's a "new" coach, but it's Rex Ryan.

Week 8: BYE

Week 9: @ New York Jets WIN ... They either start Geno Vick or put a rookie out there. Either way, I think the Jaguars win by a small margin.

Week 10: @ Baltimore Ravens LOSS ... Baltimore is a good team that will get better this offseason.

Week 11: Tennessee Titans WIN ... No way they lose on Thursday night against the Titans.

Week 12: San Diego Chargers LOSS ... I think Philip Rivers stays for one more season and I think he tears the Jaguars apart.

Week 13: @ Tennessee Titans WIN ... This is the year the Jaguars take a step towards challenging for the AFC South, and they do it by sweeping the worst team in football.

Week 14: Indianapolis Colts LOSS ... I lied earlier. The Jaguars will be called playoff contenders for 2016 at this point, but Andrew Luck is just too good.

Week 15: Atlanta Falcons LOSS ... I think the Falcons are a playoff team in 2015, and I think this is a must-win game that they take.

Week 16: @ New Orleans Saints LOSS ... They're bouncing back. They won't make the playoffs, but they'll win at home against the Jaguars.

Week 17: @ Houston Texans LOSS ... Same as the Week 6 matchup. I think by this point, the Jaguars and Texans will be evenly matched and the home team will pull it out.

So... 6-10?
