As we get closer to the NFL Draft, talk about Missouri pass rusher to the Jacksonville Jaguars has become ice cold as more people dive into the film and the NFL Combine happened. Ray didn't participate in the combine because he was dealing with a foot injury and when he worked out at his Pro Day he posted disappointing times, especially his 3-cone, and now there's news he could need surgery on his foot.
.@LanceZierlein says on http://t.co/HpA218qGnY that Shane Ray will need surgery on foot, 5 months recovery. "Could drop out of first"

This news, I would think, should completely rule Ray out of the running with the No. 3 overall pick. I didn't really think he was in the running there anyway, unless the team traded down quite a few spots and some of the other pass rushers were all off the board.
If it's a 5 month recovery period for Ray, that would project him back around the end of September or in October, meaning he probably begins the season on the PUP list and isn't likely to do much early in his rookie season.
