Jaguars draft rumors: Could JAX move back into the first round?

There are some suggestions that the Jacksonville Jaguars could be a team in play to move back into the first round.

There's now some talk that the Jacksonville Jaguars could be one of the teams that is looking to trade into the backend of the first round in the 2015 NFL Draft on Thursday evening, at least according to NFL Network's Mike Silver.

It's an interesting scenario, depending on what it would cost obviously. There's a growing feeling that the Jaguars will end up staying put at No. 3 overall and if both quarterbacks go 1-2 like most expect, picking the top player on their board. A lot of people think that will end up being USC's Leonard Williams.

Silver, who's buddies with Tony Khan and usually pretty solid with Jaguars scoops, suggests that pick No. 36 could be in play.

Now, ultimately what I think happens this evening is the Jaguars do end up picking Williams and then moving back up for one of the pass rushers who fall. It could be someone like Randy Gregory who's weight and issues with marijuana have scared some teams off, and a lot of experts feel he needs the right locker room fit. Or, and in my opinion this is the likely target, it could be UCLA's edge rusher Owamagbe Odighizuwa (aka Diggy or Alphabet), whom the Jaguars coached at the Senior Bowl.

If the Jaguars can get away with moving up for something simply as a late round pick and say a 2016 2nd rounder, getting Williams and one of the edge players would be a great haul for Dave Caldwell.
