Shortly after selecting Dante Fowler with the No. 3 pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell and head coach Gus Bradley spoke with local media about the pick and raved about the athleticism of the team's newest pass rusher.
Caldwell raved about the fit that Fowler provides the Jaguars at LEO, which is a position that wasn't addressed much in the first two years of Caldwell's time with the team. He admitted that Fowler is larger than the average LEO though, but isn't concerned about the fit.
In fact, Caldwell and Bradley said that it's a good thing that the 6'3, 261 pound pass rusher is larger than the prototypical pass rusher:
Gus on Fowler: He was unique at the Leo position because of his size, strength and speed.
