Dante Fowler 'would be stunned' if Jaguars passed on him

The former Florida Gator pass rusher thinks he's going to be the pick for the Jaguars at No. 3 overall in the 2015 NFL Draft.

The Jacksonville Jaguars currently hold the No. 3 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft and the general feeling is that they will pick a defensive lineman at that spot, likely an edge rusher. Someone like Dante Fowler seems to be the general consensus pick for the Jaguars and the former Gator pass rusher seems to feel like he'll be the pick if he makes it to No. 3, going so far as to say he'd be stunned if he wasn't the pick.

Fowler's name has been included in a handful of players who make a lot of sense for the Jaguars at the No. 3 overall pick. While there's an argument to be made that someone like Vic Beasley is a better fit for the pure LEO edge rusher spot on the Jaguars, Fowler is also a fit there, as well as playing standing up as a linebacker in some packages.

Fowler played in a similar scheme with the Gators, as former Seahawks defensive coordinator and now Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn ran a similar scheme to that of both the Jaguars and Seahawks when he was on the Gators staff. Fowler often played standing up to rush the passer or cover, but also was effective with his hand in the dirt coming off the edge.

Dante Fowler has a scheduled private visit with the Jaguars on Tuesday evening.
