ESPN on Jaguars WR Allen Robinson: 'A name to watch'

ESPN's Field Yates thinks Jaguars second-year receiver Allen Robinson is a breakout candidate for 2015.

Richard Dole-USA TODAY Sports

ESPN recently compiled a list of eight second-year players poised to have a breakout season in 2015 and Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Allen Robinson is one of them.

In his latest piece, ESPN reporter Field Yates listed just one receiver to keep an eye on and it's Robinson:

7. Jaguars wide receiver Allen Robinson

The Jaguars have a stable of young pass-catchers who are developing alongside quarterback Blake Bortles, and Robinson is a name to watch. In the final eight games of his 2014 season (before an injury cut it short), he totaled 72 targets. He's 6-2, 210 pounds and won't turn 22 until close to training camp.

Despite playing in just 10 games, Robinson was third on the team with targets (81), third with receptions (48), and tied for first with Cecil Shorts III and Allen Hurns for first down (26). With Shorts' departure to the Houston Texans, Robinson is the most probable candidate to be the first 1,000-yard receiver the Jaguars have ever had not named Jimmy Smith and Keenan McCardell.

Some of the other names on the list included Teddy Bridgewater, Joel Bitonio, and Stephon Tuitt.
