While the Jacksonville Jaguars were served with a gut punch as first round pick Dante Fowler, Jr. tore his ACL in the first practice of the season, the team still has second round pick T.J. Yeldon in the fold. Yeldon, who raised some eyebrows with the 36th overall pick, has a chance to be an impact rookie out of the gate for the Jaguars.
Yeldon will have a chance to start for the Jaguars Day 1 of the NFL season, in part because the Jaguars don't seem to have that "bell cow" already on the roster and in part because the offense he played in at Alabama helped prepare him for the NFL. At 'Bama, Yeldon was required to block in pass pro, which is typically what keeps most rookies off the field in a lot of situations at the next level.
Yeldon's ability to pass block, while still needing in improvement, is far ahead of where most rookies are at in that area so it will bolster his chances of being on the field a lot as a rookie.
With that being said, what are your expectations for Yeldon in his rookie season?
