We're eight days removed from the 2015 NFL Draft and the Jacksonville Jaguars are hosting their first practice of the season -- a two-hour rookie mini camp that includes this year's rookie draft class, UDFAs, tryout players, and several first-year players, totaling 54 players giving their first impressions to the coaches and staff.
Yes, the guys are in shorts, and yes it'll be largely non-contact, but who cares? It's Jaguars football!
7:25 PM: It's as we feared. Dante Fowler is expected to miss the 2015 season with an ACL tear.
2:43 PM: Oh no. Oh no, oh no, oh no. We're nearing the end of the first day of rookie mini-camp and Dante Fowler has gone down hard. We'll update his status as soon as we learn it.
1:13 PM: Offensive linemen drills.
1:09 PM: Players making their way onto the fields. Skill positions will be what to look for today.
12:13 PM: New jersey numbers for all the drafted rookies.
10:27 AM: Read up on one of the undrafted free agents competing for a job today: Maryland linebacker Matt Robinson.
10:13 AM: T-minus three hours!
9:00 AM: That's right. Exactly one year ago, we made our most important draft pick in years.
8:55 AM: Yes, this was from last night, but safety (along with offensive line and running back) will be one of the most interesting training camp battles this summer.
Sample said it was shocking to find out he was competing for the FS spot. Thought he would be strong safety, where he played at Louisville.— Michael DiRocco (@ESPNdirocco) May 7, 2015
