For a rookie in the National Football League, there are so many new things to learn inside EverBank Field – environment, coaches, playbook, teammates – that life away from the building is easy to push aside. It’s the new fame, finances, temptations, friends and even new-found "family" that can either lengthen a player’s career if balanced in the correct manner, or shorten it substantially if that player does not know how to manage a new lifestyle.

Nick Marshall handling transition well to cornerback -
Undrafted free agent quarterback Nick Marshall out of Auburn is trying to make a big position switch to cornerback.

Blake Bortles wants to be $100 million quarterback -
Carolina’s Cam Newton signed a five-year, $103.8 million extension last week, which translates into more than $20 million a year. And Ryan Tannehill recently signed for just under $20 million a year. "$100 million is always exciting," Bortles said. "Those guys all earn it. They’re great quarterbacks and they get paid what they deserve." Bortles said that kind of contract is what he has in mind.

T.J. Yeldon brings juice to the Jaguars -
Given that the Jacksonville Jaguars lost more games in 2014 than their first year working together, the pressure is mounting on general manager David Caldwell and head coach Gus Bradley. Since taking over as the key decision-makers, the Jaguars have won just seven of 32 games, including only three contests a year ago.
