Former Jacksonville Jaguars offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch was fired just days following the 2014 NFL season. There were a lot of reasons given: "philosophy", "seeing eye-to-eye", and "on the same page" were some of the more common phrases uttered by head coach Gus Bradley.
Honestly, he just wasn't good enough.
Fisch can put together an offensive game plan for a college program. He did well at Miami and he'll probably do well at Michigan. That's his ceiling. But it doesn't mean he didn't have a few very well-designed plays that succeeded for the Jaguars last year.
Case in point: Denard Robinson's 41-yard run along the right sideline against the Miami Dolphins.
This play works, in part, because Marqise Lee had been used repeatedly as an end-around option so far in the season. Not to mention the offensive linemen got downfield well and the receivers did their part blocking down field.
Does Denard's run deserve to be in the Top 25 for 2014? Let us know in the comments below!
