The Jaguars' plan stepping into the 2015 season is almost certainly to start Allen Robinson and Marqise Lee as the two primary outside receivers.
Allen Robinson flashed wide-ranging WR potential in his rookie season, establishing himself as a primary target for QB Blake Bortles before injuring his foot. Marqise Lee didn’t have quite the same opportunity to flash last season, as several injuries cast a dark cloud over his unproductive season.
As training camp approaches, the biggest disparity between second-year receivers Robinson and Lee is that one WR looks healthy and ready to take a step while the other is still sidelined with injuries. It’s difficult to pin Lee as a breakout player when there is no evident progress to base your judgment on.
This is undoubtedly the most frustrating theme concerning the Jaguars 2nd year receivers. Drafted to be Robinson’s partner in crime, Lee will have to catch up swiftly and find a way to stay on the field if he has any chance at hanging on to his preset #2 receiver spot. If Lee falls short of expectations once again, second-year WR Allen Hurns is not far behind him, ready to absorb Marqise’s spot for good.
As Robinson and Hurns work to take a competitive step this offseason, Marqise seems destined to fall further behind. There were several occasions last season, however, that Marqise Lee flashed his capability to be an impact player. We gathered a few highlights and some brief analysis. Enjoy the Vines below!

The Jaguars have a plan and a role for Marqise Lee. The question remains - can he fulfill that role?
