The Madden ratings for the Jacksonville Jaguars are in and for the most part they're about what you expect, with some surprising names at the top.
Newly signed Julius Thomas isn't that surprising at the top, although an 89 overall grade is a few points higher than I'd expect. Second-year guard Brandon Linder's 87 overall grade is really high. Again, higher than expected, but I'll take it.
Abry Jones and Michael Bennett at 68 and 69 (nice) overall are a bit low, in my opinion. As is T.J. Yeldon's 73 overall grade.
But we'll see where these ratings go as the season progresses, since grades are updated in real-time to coincide with player development during games.
