Jacksonville Jaguars Daily: T.J. Yeldon expected to make NFL preseason debut vs. Lions

Jacksonville Jaguars running back T.J. Yeldon likely to make debut against Detroit Lions -
Defensive end Chris Clemons, running back T.J. Yeldon (finger), and safety James Sample (forearm) are expected to make their preseason debuts against the Detroit Lions on Friday. The home game will be the first set of NFL action for Yeldon and Sample. Yeldon will ditch the red "non-contact" jersey this week but will still wear a splint on his injured finger. Sample will see his work increased as well.

Every pass for Blake Bortles against the New York Giants -
If I had to label Blake Bortles' preseason performance against the Giants on Saturday night, I'd call it a little bit of good, a little bit of bad, but not a lot of ugly. Realistically, that's about all you can ask for out of your second-year quarterback in his second live-setting game of the season with his second career playbook.

Jaguars offense continues to pass eye test -
The numbers don't completely illustrate the effectiveness of the Jacksonville Jaguars' first-team offense through the first two weeks of the preseason. Though the unit managed just three field goals on three possessions and quarterback Blake Bortles missed a potential touchdown pass, the offense has passed the eye test.
