The Jacksonville Jaguars have placed receiver Arrelious Benn on injured reserve with a broken left collarbone. Benn, who was expected to make the 53-man roster, broke his collarbone in Saturday's preseason game against the New York Giants and will have surgery Tuesday.

Stefen Wisniewski has been assigned to the starting center role for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Wisniewski, coming off of a recent shoulder injury and surgery, accepted a one-year contract to join the Jaguars this past offseason. The Jacksonville Jaguars players would never wish any harm upon their teammates, but in sports, when someone goes down, it creates an opportunity for someone else. The Jaguars have four injured wide receivers, two injured linebackers, two injured cornerbacks and a pair of ailing offensive tackles. Those injuries in position bunches cause depth issues, especially in the preseason when the starters only play an allotted amount of time.
