Brandon Linder injury: Jaguars guard thankful it's just a toe

Jaguars guard Brandon Linder left Friday's preseason game with a foot injury, but it appears as if it's just a minor concern.

Jacksonville Jaguars right guard Brandon Linder left Friday's preseason game against the Detroit Lions early on with an injury and never came back into the game. For a good while, Jaguars fans collectively held their breath as the team's best offensive lineman went to the locker room to get his injury looked at.

Thankfully, it's a toe injury for Linder and it's not believed to be serious.

"I think he could have come back and played we just chose not to," Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley said in his press conference after the game.

During the preseason teams do not have to disclose specific injuries, but I think Bradley indicating Linder could have come back into the game tells you it's not that serious of an injury. Linder is a vital piece of the Jaguars offensive line, as the right side with the addition on Jermey Parnell has been one to lean on running the football.

One interesting thing when Linder left however, was that Tyler Shatley was the first man up to replace him on the line. I would think that firmly secures Shatley on the roster, but I still tend to think the Jaguars will end up keeping 10 offensive lineman at this point, just in case.
