Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley never disclosed what illness Johnson was suffering from, but mentioned last week that Storm was "day to day".
Now that Johnson has clearance from the training staff, he'll face an uphill battle as he contends for a roster spot. Johnson carried the ball 29 times in his rookie season, racking up only 86 yards.
Joining the team four practices into training camp, Johnson will have to find a way to sneak onto the radar. Special teams reps will be crucial for Johnson as he tries to stay afloat in a crowded running back group.
The setback isn't ideal for Storm, who was very much already on the the outside looking in. Passing his physical was the first step -- now he has plenty of ground to make up.
