Prior to the 2012 season he signed a two-year extension with a maximum value of $3.09 million. Then he developed Type 2 diabetes and was cut nine months later. Since then, Love has been a football vagabond, going from Jacksonville to Kansas City to Jacksonville and back to Kansas City before being signed by the Panthers in mid-December. Having the opportunity to start against the Jaguars and the coach that released him in 2013 makes this chance mean even more.

Former Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee struggles in Steelers debut -
Josh Scobee didn't exactly make a good first impression with his new teammates. The all-time leading scorer in Jacksonville Jaguars history misfired on his first two field goal attempts with the Pittsburgh Steelers against New England on Thursday night. Scobee missed attempts of 44 and 46 yards wide right, which, according to NBC's telecast, made him the first Steelers kicker to miss two field goals in a game since Allan Watson in 1970.
