The Jacksonville Jaguars are having injuries pile up on them and to classify them as being decimated is probably accurate. Injuries played a big part in the 51-17 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday, but it's not why the Jaguars got their doors blown off. That reason is a much deeper discussion for another day.
The Jaguars were hurting on the defense as is, without their best pass rusher in Sen'Derrick Marks, their starting safety Johnathan Cyprien still sidelined and some banged up corners in the secondary. They ended the day also losing Sergio Brown, Josh Evans and Davon House, meaning for nearly half the game they trotted out Peyton Thompson and Nick Marshall at safety and corner, respectively. Naturally, the Patriots picked on that and it showed.
