Jaguars vs. Washington: Who needs to stand out in Week 4?

Thursday night will be the last time for some Jaguars to prove what they've got this preseason. Who needs to take advantage of the opportunity?

Phil Sears-USA TODAY Sports

We're so close.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have one preseason game left until the 2015 regular season starts. Thursday night's game against Washington will be the last chance for some Jaguars players to show the coaching staff what they've got, so this week I am looking for some bubble players to have a solid performance.

Those players are tight end Nic Jacobs and defensive end Cap Capi.

Nic Jacobs

Veteran tight end Nic Jacobs has silently had himself a nice preseason with a total of four catches for 50 yards. He looked noticeably good in the game against the Detroit Lions, where he had two catches for 39 yards.

Jacobs has a big body that he can use to make blocks and has made nice catches in traffic and seems to be thriving in the offense's new two tight end sets. If he can have a solid performance against Washington, I would put him on the roster over rookie tight end Ben Koyack. Personally, if he were to play lights out on Thursday, I would actually put him on the roster over tight end Clay Harbor.

Cap Capi

Cap Capi quickly became an obsession after he recorded two sacks as an unknown undrafted rookie against the Pittsburgh Steelers (and for his cool name, of course). Throughout the rest of the preseason, Capi has cooled off a bit, but has still found his way into the backfield and created pressure.

With rookie Dante Fowler Jr. being out for the season, Chris Clemons still aging, and Andre Branch being ruled our for a "significant amount of time", the LEO position is thin to start this year. So, if Capi can put up a solid performance this week, what's to stop him from making the roster?

Who do you think needs to have a good performance this Thursday night?
