Jaguars vs. Panthers injury report: Johnathan Cyprien practices in full

Jacksonville and Carolina both released their Wednesday injury reports and things look slightly more hopeful for the Jaguars than we might have thought.

Phil Sears-USA TODAY Sports

The Jacksonville Jaguars have their first official injury report of the 2015 NFL season and there’s not really any surprises on it.

Well, there’s no injury surprises in a bad way, but Johnathan Cyprien did practice in full on Wednesday for the first time since breaking a bone in his finger in the team’s first preseason game. Getting Cyprien back in the lineup should be helpful on defense going against a team that’s likely going to try to run the football quite a bit. The "Albino Tiger" was a no-go at practice, though most expected that Marqise Lee would not play in Week 1 anyway.

Outside of that, it was the usual suspects for the Jaguars. For the Carolina Panthers though, some injuries to pay attention to include starting defensive tackle Star Lotulelei, who missed practice with a foot issue. The Pathers best offensive lineman was also limited on Wednesday, as center Ryan Kalil is still dealing with a knee issue.

Here’s the full injury report for each team:

Jacksonville Jaguars

DNP: DE Andre Branch (knee), WR Marqise Lee (hamstring), DT Sen’Derrick Marks (knee), TE Julius Thomas (hand) and WR Bryan Walters (knee)
Limited: DT Michael Bennett (ankle), RB Toby Gerhart (abdomen) and LB LaRoy Reynolds (knee)
Full: S Johnathan Cyprien (finger)

Carolina Panthers

DNP: TE Richie Brockel (shoulder) and DT Star Lotulelei (foot)
Limited: C Ryan Kalil (knee), CB Josh Norman (concussion) and OT Nate Chandler (knee)
Full: CB Teddy Williams (groin)
