ESPN's Mel Kiper has released his first mock draft of 2016 and the Jacksonville Jaguars are fixing their secondary by picking Florida State standout Jalen Ramsey with the No. 5 overall pick.

Kiper notes that Ramsey is the best player available here and doesn't even hint at a move for Florida cornerback Vernon Hargreaves as an option.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars

Jalen Ramsey, DB, Florida St.
The best player available here, Ramsey is a great corner or a great safety, a fit in any secondary given his skill set and incredible athleticism. Those athlete credentials? Well, consider that he's long-jumping at roughly an Olympic level in, essentially, a second sport that he really can't commit to full time. A worthy top-five talent in the secondary.

Kiper's predictions for the Jaguars have traditionally been a wash when compared with who they should have actually picked. He wanted the Jaguars to take Jason Pierre-Paul over Tyson Alualu in 2010, Adrian Clayborn over Blaine Gabbert in 2011, and Quinton Coples over Justin Blackmon in 2012. But Damontre Moore over Luke Joeckel in 2013 would have been a downgrade, as well as Jadeveon Clowney over Blake Bortles in 2014.

At this point last year, Kiper had the Jaguars picking Leonard Williams at No. 3 overall and stuck with that prediction through the middle of April, so it would be surprising if he went a different way than Ramsey through the next few months.
