NFL teams that have never had a tie: Jaguars among 2

The Jaguars and Texans are the only two current NFL franchises without a tie to their name. Go AFC South!

After a day of games that saw nearly two ties, and a season that already has four teams with ties in their record, the Jacksonville Jaguars are just one of two current teams in the NFL to never end a game in a tie.

It makes sense — with only 343 games to their name as of Week 8 in the 2016 NFL season, the Jaguars are tied with the Carolina Panthers for the third-fewest games played of any current club in the NFL. Only the Baltimore Ravens (337) and Houston Texans (231) have less.

And funny enough, it’s the Texans who are the only other team without a tie to their name.

Even with the same amount of games as the Jaguars, the Panthers have two ties to their name so far — one in 2014 and one in 2016. And the Ravens, with less games, have a tie as well.

And teams who have been in the league twice as long as the Jaguars only have one tie as well. The Seattle Seahawks and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, both of which started play in 1976, have a tie each to their name.
